Max desired volume....

The kick sounds great (most of the time)...
and it's loud enough in the mix...
I would like it to have more "chest pressure" at the same volume.
I have tried an inserted EQ in the kick channel.
It gave me more flexability, but was not night and day difference, so I usually don't bother.

Maybe this is the key....

I get close to the "pressure" that I want if I stand in the exact sweet spot...but I would like to enlarge that sweet spot.

: I don't understand, if you have that much headroom,
: Can't you just insert a 31 band eq on the kick channel
: to get the sound you want?
: how can you be approaching the limit of what the
: subs can do if they're not overpowered and the amps
: aren't delivering more power than you describe?
: What do you mean by "full volume"? If not at the
: amps, is your mixer putting out it's max voltage?
: Or do you mean the max desired volume?
